Official Rules


NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE, OR OLDER, TO ENTER.

ENTRY: Sweepstakes begins at approximately 12:01AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 09/15/09 and ends at 11:59PM EST on 01/15/10 (the “Promotion Period”). There are two (2) ways to enter during the Promotion Period: 1) Purchase a specially-marked 28 bottle pack of Labatt Blue Light or Labatt Blue beer from a participating retailer, visit our website at www.labattbluelightus.com/sabres, enter the unique PIN code found in your specially-marked 28 bottle pack of Labatt Blue Light or Labatt Blue beer, complete the online entry form, and submit. 2) To enter without making a purchase, send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope to: Labatt Blue Light “Buffalo Sabres 1000 Tickets” Free PIN Request, 625 Panorama Trail, Building 2 – Suite 100, Rochester, NY, 14625. Once you receive your PIN in the mail, visit www.labattbluelightus.com/sabres, enter the unique PIN number, complete the online entry form, and submit. Incomplete online entry forms will not be accepted. Limit: one (1) entry per person or e-mail address per day regardless of method of entry. In case of multiple entries during any given day from any one person or e-mail address, only the first entry will be accepted. The use of automated entry devices of any kind is prohibited.

The purchase of Labatt Blue Light or Labatt Blue beer 28 bottle packs and obtaining an in-pack PIN code must be made by 01/15/10. Mail-in requests for a free PIN code must be postmarked by 01/15/10 and received by 01/22/10. All PIN codes must be entered online no later than 01/31/10.

The Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for entries that are not received due to technical/transmission difficulties beyond their reasonable control, nor for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible, or postage due mail-in requests as stated in “Limits of Liability” paragraph below. All entries become the property of the Sponsor.

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open only to legal US residents in the state of NY who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of Labatt USA (the “Sponsor”), wholesalers and distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies, alcoholic beverage retailers and their employees, alcohol beverage licensees, and any other entity directly involved with this sweepstakes, their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of the respective households of these entities (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in this sweepstakes. Void elsewhere and where prohibited by applicable federal, state and local laws.

INSTANT-WIN NOTIFICATION: There will be five hundred (500) Instant Winners randomly selected throughout the Promotion Period. Once you submit your entry information online (including PIN number) an instant message will pop up letting you know whether or not you are a winner. If you receive a message indicating that you are a winner, an e-mail message will be sent to you shortly thereafter (sent to the e-mail address you provided on registration page) giving you instructions on how to redeem your prize.

The decisions of the Independent Sweepstakes Administrator, with respect to all winners and other matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes shall be final.

PRIZES: There are a total of five hundred (500) prizes available to be won. Each prize consists of two (2) tickets to a 2009 - 2010 Buffalo Sabres home game. Games scheduled after March 1, 2010 will not be available for prizes. The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each prize is $60.00. The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded is $30,000. The specifics of all aforementioned elements of the prizes in the Sweepstakes shall be solely determined by Sponsor. A selection of Buffalo Sabres home games available to be won will be provided by Sponsor. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein (including but not limited to food and alcoholic beverages, transportation to/from game, parking fees, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the winner to pay. The winner’s guest must also be at least 21 years of age or older. Winner and Guest must attend the game together. Guest has no independent rights to Prize. Prizes are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or portion of a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. One valid entry per person per day.

Odds of winning a prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received at time of each random selection.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: No transfer or substitution of any prize or portion thereof is allowed, nor is there a cash value equivalent, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If any prize or prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable, if winner is unable to attend the Buffalo Sabres home game selected, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Once winner sends in their paperwork with their selected Sabres game, their game cannot be changed. All federal, state and other taxes, not specifically mentioned previously, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winner’s entry and acceptance of any prize constitutes permission (where allowable) for the Sponsor to use said winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state) on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without notice or further compensation.

No more than said number of prizes listed in these Official Rules will be awarded. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator and waive any right to claim ambiguity in regard to the mechanics of the sweepstakes or the interpretation of these Official Rules. Winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents, from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize offered, or participation in this sweepstakes. Each winner agrees to take full responsibility for the actions of the guest who accompanies them to the chosen Buffalo Sabres home game and agrees to follow all arena/park rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safety and security rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the mechanics or logistics of this sweepstakes will be declared ineligible and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in, this Sweepstakes, or by any printing, technical or human error which may occur in the processing and/or transmissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participating or downloading materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, and award any unclaimed prizes through a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the time of termination.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION: If you indicate consent, Sponsor and its affiliates and agencies (collectively the “Companies”), will use the information you provide to contact you about other promotions and services offered by the Companies. This information will be retained by the Companies as required by applicable law. On reasonable notice, you may withdraw your consent to be contacted by emailing labattpromos@ussweeps.com or by calling Customer Service at 1-877-LABATT-0 (1-877-522-2880).
